Obituary of Greg L. Babcock

Passed away on October 10, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 69.

Greg was born on May 22, 1948 in Hornell, New York. Greg attended and graduated from Hornell High School in 1966 where he was a dedicated athlete playing backetball, baseball and football. He went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Business from Alfred University.

Henrietta, New York became his home where he raised his family. Greg was a valuable member of RHAA (baseball) in the late 1980's through the early 1990's. He was a well liked coach that inspired many developing athletes.

His kind and jovial demeanor was recognized and appreciated by all he came in contact with. He was a hard working person, devoted husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren were the light of his life. 

Predeceased by his parents, Helen and Louie Babcock. Survived by his wife, Mimi Babcock; children, Michele Babcock, Gregory (Jamie) Babcock, Heather (Brandon) Bagley, Crystal (Matt Ingram) Love and Kyle Carmichael; 9 grandchildren, Jamie, Elijah, Cianna, Kayla, Connor, Noah, Brynn, Brayden and Sonja; brothers, Stephen (Marie) Babcock and Douglas (Sue) Babcock; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Friends and family may call on FRIDAY from 4 – 7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Road South).

Graveside Services will be held on SATURDAY at 10 AM in White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Road).

Donations may be made to Brain Tumor Patient Need Fund c/o Wilmot Cancer Center Advancement Center or Adding Candles For Brain Tumor Research in Greg's memory.
