Obituary of Peter R. Campbell

Passed away suddenly, at home & surrounded by family. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy Capbell and Ray Campbell. He is survived by and will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 18 years, Kathleen Campbell; his son, Christopher Campbell; step-daughters: Nicole (Phillip) Simpson & Rachel (Neil) Bartel; his grandchild, Jackson Bartel; brother, Frank (Anne) Campbell; nieces: Amy (Ray) Brewer & Lisa Campbell; great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, deer Sun Valley Campsite friends and his Dogs, Elle May and Lola. Peter's outgoing, talkative, vibrant personality drew people in. No one was a stranger for long. He was a character & a jokester that kept everyone laughing & upbeat & every person's story was important to him. He was always singing jingles, going camping & attending Hockey games with his brother. He spent 20 years working as a Heavy Equipment operator at VJ Damico and continued that work at Dolomite Corp. (Iroquois Rock Products) where he retired in 2008. Retirement never stuck. After 2008 he held 30 different jobs. His way of making a difference in the world & bringing even more joy to his life was by working with Special Needs. Peter was in the Army Reserves & a member of the Knights of Columbus. Friends & Family may call from 2:00 - 6:00 pm on SUNDAY October 15, 2017 at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on MONDAY October 16, 2017 at St. Mary Ann Cope Parish at Guardian Angels 2061 East Henrietta RD followed by Interment at Mapelwood Cemetery.
