Obituary of Shirley I Hughes

Hughes, Shirley Marie Incavo,

Rochester: Age 89, died peacefully on October 24, 2017. Survived by her #1 son, David (Betsy), #2 son, Joseph Incavo, #3 son, Douglas (Susan), and #4 son, Michael (Lily) - she couldn’t always remember our names, but she never forgot our numbers. Also survived by her grandchildren, Benjamin (Crystal), Todd (Alison), Stephen, Amy, Joseph, Justin, and Wynton.

Shirley was born in 1928 on her mother’s 26th birthday. She graduated from Nazareth College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, and for many years she worked as a nursing supervisor and instructor at Rochester General and Strong Memorial Hospital.

No prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Meadows on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. Interment private.
