November 3, 2017. Predeceased by her husband, John S. Blackwell. She is survived by sons, Dave, Clyde, Steve (Kate), Don; grandchildren, Adam, Ian, Trevor and Taylor. Harriet was a member of the PTA and League of Women's Voters. She had an interest in travel, starting after high school, with her railroad job and later when she tagged along with a group from Yale University for an extended tour of Europe in 1950. Later she explored much of the eastern United States and Canada. Harriet grew up in New Haven, CT and subsequently raised her family in Weymouth, MA.
