A.P. will be missed by many and one of favorite Xerox memories is all of those cakes he brought in to celebrate product launches. I remember Amelio smiling a lot during launch parties and always having a camera hanging around his neck and taking pictures! Steve Young

Working with Amelio since 1986 was always a pleasure. Always encouraging. He always checked on how my children were doing, encouraging me in my role as a parent to them. As a die-hard Bronx native, he kept my mom & dad updated on what was going on in NYC. My dad thoroughly enjoyed the years that he had Back To The Bronx in his life - all as a result of Amelio's constant sharing, even long after life at Xerox.
The big mystery was - Why was he called DOC? He never would give a straight answer. Who can uncover the mystery for us all???
He called me ETRAC from day one as that was my email address when I first joined the "Tiger Team" in '86. Chewing on a coffee stir stick constantly.
Just such a pleasure to work with him and call him friend.

As a member of Amelio’s Xerox family we will miss him. He always came to work smiling and caring. He was a Renaissance man always learning and teaching. I always loved his enthusiasm for his Italian culture and food. No better compliment then Amelio was a true gentlemen!

Very saddened to hear of the passing of Amelio - the boss I had known at Xerox for almost 20 years as a Field Engineer. He had a wonderful smile and clever wit, and always had a funny story to share. He led our teams with great compassion and strength, and always made sure that he generously handed out recognition to us. He was the type of manager that made the work environment a pleasant place. He valued all of us, and was eager to listen to new ideas. Being a bass player myself, I was pleased to know that he enjoyed playing upright bass in his past time. My very deepest condolences to Amelio's family. I will certainly miss him. Riposo in pace, Amelio.
