My deepest sympathies to Chris's family and friends. Chris was my high school classmate, an excellent student, athlete, and good friend. Chris and his family came to the neighborhood after the grade-school years and his personality earned friends easily. It was my good fortune to have him join me as a running mate in our student council election, and probably the reason for our success. His accomplishments in college, graduate school, and law career to follow were exemplary. I regret that we lost touch over the years, would that we could go back in time to refresh our friendships, while we have the opportunity.

Like Steve Olson, Chris was a great friend in high school. We both played on the school tennis team (Chris was way better than I was) and we shared a lot of great experiences during our college and high school years. The things that I remember most about Chris were his intelligence, his humor, and the wonderful mischievous streak that he had. I am totally saddened by his passing. My sincere condolences to his family.

I am greatly saddened to hear this news. I was a class mate of Chris's in high school. Although I didn't know him well, we were in many of the same classes. He was quiet, but with a subtle sense of humor.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of his family.

Chris was one of my very closest high school friends. I am saddened beyond words that he is gone and that I didn't remain close to him throughout our lives. We were in all classes together. We were on the High School Bowl team together. We went to Buffalo together overnight to apply for NROTC scholarships. We were debate partners traveling all over Western NY. We pledged Alpha Zeta (OMG--weren't high school fraternities horrible!) together and spent evenings at his house secretively with other AZ pledges (playing poker and, well, imbibing a bit) when AZ's pledgeship rules prohibited us from socializing with each other. So many memories. Thank you, Chris, for being such an important part of my high school years.

Chris and I met years ago, representing the "younger generation" at Sunday supper parties at the home of Ret. Adm, and Mrs. Frank Jack Fletcher, along with Circuit Court Judge John Dudley Diggs, Mitch Diggs, Chris's Aunt Frances, my parents and some others. Chris and I sat next to Adm. Fletcher at the time of Nixon's trip to China, and the Admiral spoke of his 2 tours of duty in China, prior to WWII. How great it was to hear him speak of those times in the first half of the 1900s, at a time when relations were changing between our countries. It was an experience for Chris and me, and we spoke about it when we became reacquainted. I am sorry for your, his family's loss, his friends' loss, and mine as an old acquaintance. Sorry to have rambled on so.

Dear Candy and Susan, I'm very sorry to hear of Christopher's passing. How often when you all moved to Lakewood I would meet this "new, young" skinny kid and play tennis. I wanted to play him so often because he ALWAYS beat me. At that point we we're good friends and compeditors. Every match was close and I always knew someday I would win at Lakewood Beach. But that day never came. Like you two sisters he was always gracious and never made me feel bad. I know he did much good in his life and he probably had his share of your mom's cookies she shared with me (I ate most of them) on that snow stormy nite I took her to Rochester.
Please understand I feel like I lost a dear friend who gave me so many hours of fun and competition in my teenage years. Peace
