Obituary of Edward N. Swift, Sr.

Passed away on August 6, 2018 at the age of 85. Survived by his loving wife, Beatrice "Babe"; children, Edward (Lisa), Judy (Chris) Wagner, Sandy (Tom) Briggs, Norma (Joe) Rogers, Patty (Ed) Hauslauer; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; good friend and neighbor, John Dagama; and his beloved dog Trixie. 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. And he was respected and loved by those whose lives he touched. Ed was born in Dansville, NY and was a lifelong resident of Henrietta, NY. He ran his own Construction Company, Swifts Nursery Inc. up until he was 81 years old with his wife Beatrice by his side. 

He was a Korean War Veteran. He worked hard all of his life. He even was out mowing his lawn the day before he passed. Which was his passion in his older years. He also loved hunting, fishing and gardening.

He married his sweetheart, Beatrice (Babe), whom he fell in love with at the age of 14 and they were married for 63 years. 

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, August 8, from 4 - 7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd S). A service will follow at 7 PM in the Funeral Home's Chapel. Interment Maplewood Cemetery (150 Middle Rd) on Thursday, August 9, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
