Obituary of Grace B. Wilson

Brighton- Grace "Belle" Wilson passed away peacefully at the Highlands of Brighton Nursing Care Facility on February 4, 2018 at the age of 87.

Grace was born in Batavia, NY on February 15, 1930, a daughter of the late James R. Burell and Nancy Anna (Majors) Burrell. She graduated from LeRoy High School in 1948. In 1959, Grace married Leon Wilson, and would remain married to him until his death in 2015.

Grace had a lifelong love of fashion and decorating, and helped to fulfillthe former by working for many years as a sales associate at Sibley Corporartion in the fine men's department at the downtown Rochester location. She enjoyed daily trips to Wegmans in Pittsford and to Tim Horton;s for coffee, as well as shopping at Lord & Taylorsin Eastview Mall. She loved makeup, and never left home without her makeup on and being impeccably dressed. Monthly trips to the beauty salon, usually in the company of her sister, Nancy Washington, were a must. With her husband, she shared a love of automobiles, and they always took great pride in the upkeep, care and maintenance of any car they owned. Aunt Belle loved football, especially the Buffalo Bills, who rewarded her loyalty by ending their long playoff drought in the final year ofher life. She had a heart of gold, and never said "no" to anyone, especially her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Aunt Belle was predeceased by two brothers, George Burrell and Roy Burrell, and one sister, Agnes McDaniel. She is survived by, sister, Nancy Washington of Brighton, formerly of LeRoy;sister-law, Myrtle Burrell of LeRoy; nieces, Bobbie (Terrance) Falk, Gayle (Joseph) Jech, Linda Armstrong, Sharon McDaniel, Loretta McDaniel; nephews, Torin (Meta) Washington and James (Lou) Burrell; several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

While Aunt Belle loved all of her family members, she was especially fond of her niece and nephew, Bobbie and Torin, both of whom she thought of as her own children. She was also especially fond of a great-niece, Tovia Poles and a great-grandniece, Lilly Grace Figlerowicz, who is named after her.

Friends and family may call SATURDAY February 10, 2018 from 2 to 3 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winto Rd. S., where her Memorial Service will be held at 3PM in The Interfaith Chapel of Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc.
