Obituary of Vivian M. Heffernan

Vivian M. Quinn Heffernan died peacefully February 11, 2018 at the age of 93. Vivian was predeceased by her parents Herb and Eleanor Quinn, and husband John Heffernan. She is survived by her four children; Joan, Alan (Mary), Louis, and Patty (Kathy), six grandchildren; Lauren, Shauna, Ryan, Ian, Aimee, and Charlsey, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Vivian was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, became a war bride in 1947, and an American citizen in 1951. Vivian was most proud of having all four of her children graduate from college. In addition, her work with the Antoinette Brown Blackwell Society and being Henrietta's Town Historian for ten years, were pursuits that she treasured in her later years. She is remembered as saying that she "had no life regrets" and "accomplished all that she had set out to do in life." The family would like to give special recognition to Shannon, from St. John's, Jane D. her HHA and the wonderful staff at Lifetime Care's Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vivian's honor to the Antoinette Brown Blackwell Society (P.O Box 133, Henrietta, NY 14467) or Lifetime Care Hospice (3111 Winton Rd. S. Rochester NY 14623). The family will receive friends SATURDAY, February 17, 2018 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at Miller Funeral & Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd S).
