Obituary of Andrew Stalder

On February 28, 2018 at age 96. Beloved uncle, brother, son, friend. Andy led a life of quiet greatness: he was devoted to his family, faithfully served his country in WWII, including two years in Europe, earned his BA in history from the U of R & two Masters, one in Foreign Affairs & another in International Economics, from Columbia Univ., again served his country as a Foreign Service Officer of the US Dept. of State, stationed abroad & in Washington DC, for many years. In retirement, he excelled at piano, carillon, weaving & building lifelong loyal friendships. All who knew him will deeply miss him. Predeceased by his parents Andrew & Julia Stalder, who migrated from Switzerland; three sisters Julia Gillette, Margaret Beadling & Martha Trick. Survived by his loving niece Ellen Beadling (Bill Morrow), nephews Peter (Carolyn) Beadling, Mark Beadling (Frank Moffatt): great niece Ashley (Ian) McCracken & great nephew John Beadling & many dear friends. Private interment & service. Please consider a donation in Andy's memory to a charity of your choice.
