For the few years I knew Richard, I always enjoyed his laughter and enthusiasm. He was fun to listen to and very sincere. The company of Martha and Richard at events made it a special occasion. To all family members I am sorry for your loss.

Our condolences to the Zonneville family. Some of our memories of Dick are how he loved his family and would help them in any way he could; how he and Martha enjoyed their many years of involvement keeping the Rochester Cotillion dinners and dancing active; and his love of sports. He always treated people the way he hoped to be treated. A life well lived!

My sincere condolences. I have many fond memories of Mr. Z. Truly one of a kind! He was full of life, sharp as a tack, lots of fun, generous, and never met a stranger! He always said he was one of the luckiest guys you’d ever meet and he lived that way. Dick had a treasure trove of quips, always with a nugget of wisdom, and I use many of them regularly! Here is a favorite: ‘Life is never as good, or as bad, as you think it is’. While it is sad to think Dick will not be here to share a cup of cheer, or a round of golf, it’s not as bad as we think because his spirit will live on in our memories of him.

Dick was one of the kindest, most generous people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. Always quick with a smile, a warm greeting, and a positive outlook, his voice was his calling card and will no doubt be remembered fondly by many. He was quick to inform everyone he encountered that he was "the nicest guy you'll ever meet". I'd be hard pressed to disagree with that statement! He will be missed greatly.

Dick, you were one of a kind! We could always count on your smiling face and "unique" laugh when we would see you and Martha at Locust Hill. Thanks for your friendship and we will raise a Genny Light in your honor!

I am in Florida and unable to attend the services. I am very sorry to hear of Dick's passing. He was a great guy and a joy to be around. I enjoyed joking around with him as he sat at his corner of the Locust Hill bar. It was also fun to sit behind you guys at the Red Wings games. He will certainly be missed.
