Wayne, Jenny, Lori, and grandkids,
I’m so very sorry that you’ve lost this precious woman much too soon. Since I worked for her for several years, I can truly say that as much as her parish ministry meant to her, it was so little compared to what her family meant to her. You were her first and most important vocation. She helped me to really get the incomparable value of family. I’m quite sure she is praying for you all now.
In Christ’s peace and grace,
Suzanne

Barbara was a shining light in our church community. Her faith, her humor, her smile....she drew you in and made you feel welcomed.
I will miss her even though I had moved away, it was a comforting thought to know she would be there. Now we keep her in our hearts and prayers. My deepest condolences to Mr. Sweicki and the girls. God bless you.

Though I did not personally know Barb, she was an incredible support for my Aunt and Uncle in their final days last year. She sat at their bedsides in the hospital and prayed with us for them both. I know her presence brought peace to my Aunt especially. She also help planned both of their funeral masses with our family. My sincerest and deepest condolences to Barb's family. Please know she touched many lives and her spiritual guidance helped my family during two great losses last year. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace.

Wayne, please accept my sincere condolences for your deep loss. My deep affection for Barb goes back to her energetic and devoted
years at Transfiguration with Fr. Appleby and then on to St. Agnes again with Fr. Appleby. I had a deep connection with St. Agnes as my brother-in-law, Fr. Henry Atwell, was Pastor there for a number of years. Barb seems to be everywhere from stem to post with her presence and service to her church communities. The last time I had a chance to visit with her was at Fr. Appleby's funeral and my brief visits with her always warmed my heart. She was indeed a truly special woman and cherished her ministry as was always evidenced by her presence no mater where that seemed to be. God has now blessed her with peace and joy in her eternal home and I am sure she has been welcomed with due honor.

Wayne, my deepest condolences and prayers go out to you and your family. Barb was a wonderful woman, leader and friend. I thank God for bringing her into my life and for our summer trips to Kentucky. I will miss her terribly as will the children, Sr. Marge, Sr. Angie and the communities of Booneville and St. Marianne Cope. Heaven has gained another Angel. May our Lord and Savior comfort you and your family now and always.

We are so very sad that Barb is no longer with us. Working with her for our parish was wonderful and she will be missed greatly. We are sad that we cannot make the calling hours and mass as we are out of town until next weekend. Please know you will all be in our thoughts and prayers, as well as our church family in trying to deal with this tragedy.
