To the Kopczynski family (my second family),
Your father, mother and all of you continue to hold a special place in my heart. I still don't understand why your parents allowed me to come whenever I wanted and seemingly allowed me to stay for as long as I wanted. The theory that it takes a village to raise a child was never more true than when it came to me.
Your father was kind, warm and gentle with a ready laugh. Fortunately, I was so young I never picked up on anything but sweetness from him (I'm 100% certain he was telling your mother to send that kid home).
I trust he, your mother, the Sheds, Mr. Austin, and my father are all together priding themselves on the quantity of children they successfully raised on Blake Hill.
