I was so sad when I heard of Vern's passing. I met Vern about 3 years ago when I started working at Serenity House. He introduced himself to me as the self appointed Mayor of Victor.I knew from that moment on I had made a new friend. Vern came almost every day to Serenity House. He would share his stories and light up the place. I loved him from the minute I met him. I will miss him a lot.
