Obituary of Timothy E. McDonald

McDonald, Timothy Emmett Farmington: Passed away on Saturday, June 27, at the age of 65. His wonderful sense of humor never left him during a 5 year battle with renal cancer. He will be terribly missed by his wife, Susan (Lindner); son, Christopher (Wendy) McDonald and grandson, Jack, of Marlton, NJ; step grandson, Daniel Geer of Washington; mother, Elizabeth McDonald of Geneva; brothers, William (Sandy), Kevin (Susan), Mark (Sarah), Paul (Julie) all of Geneva and brother, Brian (Liya) of Hawaii; step sons, Alex Steighler and Nicholas (Daisie) Steighler; step grand children, Sienna and Nolan; several nieces and nephews; best friend, Gary Gaudin of Colorado, his beloved dog, Mollie and his menagerie of cats. He was predeceased by his father, Attorney William McDonald. Tim had a long career at Eastman Kodak and subsequently worked at Wadhams Enterprises, Thompson Hospital and Verizon Wireless. He enjoyed golf and traveling. Special thanks to his wonderful family and friends for their support as well as the exemplary care provided by Dr.Fung and Susan Sargent at the Wilmont Cancer center and Yvonne Hallstead, Finger Lakes VNS. We can only hope that his wish will be granted and he will return as one of Susan's cats. Friends may call Monday 4-7 at Lucey-VanVoorhis Funeral Home, 301 West Main Street, Victor. A celebration of Tim's life will be held at the funeral home Tuesday morning at 11. Donations may be made to Wilmont Cancer Center and Finger Lakes Visiting Nurse Service.
