It's been three days since we returned to Los Angeles and our hearts are full -- filled with love for you, the wonderful, generous and loving Bramer- Monna tribe; and with such gratitude for Bernice Bramer's having graced the world (and our own lives) by her very presence. Thank you all so much for taking us into the heart of your family and allowing us to share in the celebration of this dear life so well and fully lived. As legacies go, Bernie could hardly have left better than her five girls and the great extended family of relatives and friends in whom her spirit remains strong. Whatever this final journey has in store for her, it's a certainty that she's traveling on wings of love and sweet laughter. We send you love and hold you close in our prayers. Lisa and Chris

Carol and family,
You are all in our hearts and prayers. No matter how old you get, your Mom is still as special as ever in your life, as you know. We didn't see much of Bernie, especially in these later years but we know from listening to our daughter that she remained ever special and loving.
We pray that you remain peaceful and calm in knowing that death is not forever and that you WILL see her (and your Dad) again when your turn comes to be with Jesus and with them.
Love, Nellie and Tom

I didn't see much of your mom during our earlier years. However, there was one occasion I shall never forget. It was July 21, 1969 and we were at your house heading out to Glen's,I suppose. Mr. Neil Armstrong was on TV just starting his walk on the moon. Your mom convinced us that Glen's could wait while she encouraged us to sit and watch history in the making. She was one GREAT lady and just plain SWEET. This is my memory of her. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Sincerely, Karen

It was the summer of 1970. I was a foolish girl..following a b/f to NYC. After a fun weekend there I realized I had no money to get home. I could not call my own family..never! I called your Mom and w/o a second thought she sent me the $$ to get back home. Without hesitation or lecture Bernie sent me mone--how bold I was!! How generous and kind this woman always was..my ideal of what a Mom should be. There was always room for one more at her table.
You were all so lucky! Good-bye to your loving mother.
