Obituary of Grace B. Allen

Allen, Grace B. Farmington: Tuesday, October 27, 2009, just shy of her 96th birthday, Grace Allen passed away peacefully at home. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert L. Allen, in 1980. Grace is survived by her children and their spouses: Janet and George McFarland, Marion and Norm Cole, Fred and Mary Allen, Sylvia and John Bayer; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Padgham; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Grace was a graduate of Victor Central School and St. Lawrence University. She was an active member of Farmington Friends Church, serving in many capacities, from Sunday School Superintendent to Editor of the Farmington Friend newsletter. Grace was a former tax collector and Assistant Town Clerk for the Town of Farmington. A Memorial Service celebrating Grace's life will be held on Saturday afternoon, November 28, at 2 o'clock at Farmington Friends Church, corner of Allen-Padgham Road and County Road #8, Farmington.
