Obituary of T. Harold Ryan

Ryan, T. Harold Victor: T. Harold Ryan passed away at the Canandaigua Veteran's Medical Center, after a long battle with Parkinson's. Born May 29, 1931, Harold was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Lucille and brother Richard. Harold is survived by his wife, Marilyn Shraeder Ryan, his children, Tracy Ryan, Kathleen Ryan, John (Cheryl) Ryan, Jennifer (Gerald) Ruigrok, Ted (Tiffany) Ryan, James (Elizabeth) Ryan; his sister, Mary Kerr; brother-in-law, Robert Shraeder and 12 wonderful grandchildren. Harold was born in Canandaigua, NY and a lifelong resident of Victor, NY. He graduated from Victor Central School in 1948 and served with the Army Corp of Engineers during the Korean War. Harold was very involved in the community serving as a councilman, a long time member of the Victor Planning Board and one of the founders of the Victor Basketball Boosters. In addition he was an avid sports enthusiast starting from the early days of playing semi-pro baseball and continuing with him watching his children and many grandchildren at any sporting event he could see. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the VA, as well as his many caregivers whose love and support will never be forgotten and will be cherished. Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 7-9 at Lucey-VanVoorhis Funeral Home, 301 West Main Street, Victor. Harold's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Patrick's Church, Victor. Interment, St. Patrick's Cemetery, Victor.
