Obituary of Nina D. Stewart

Stewart, Nina D. Corning, NY: Nina D. Stewart, age 94, passed away at the Seneca View Skilled Nursing Home, Montour Fall, NY, on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Nina was born on March 8, 1920, in Corning, NY to Mary and Mortimer Potter. Nina retired from Corning Incorporated in 1984 following 40 years of service. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stewart; son, Phillip Skidmore; sisters, Alberta Ayers, Bernice Duperrouzel, Alice Dates; brothers, Floyd Potter, Alfred Potter. Nina is survived by her son, D. Michael (Elaine) Skidmore, of Victor, NY; daughters-in-law, Mercedes Skidmore, Port Charlotte, FL; grandsons, Scott (Cindy), Kevin (Holley), Mark (Jennifer), Peter (Josie), Justin; granddaughter, Courtney (Jonathan) Burdick; nine great grandchildren, Ashley, Brooke, Rachel, Matthew, Madilyn, Makayla, Alexandra, Eli and Gwendolyn; niece, Connie Frazier (Rev. Frank). The family wishes to thank everyone at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Home for the long-term special care they provided our loving mother. Friends may call Saturday, October 4th 2-3 pm followed by a celebration of Nina's life at 3:15 at Lucey-VanVoorhis Funeral Home, 301 West Main Street, Victor. Burial at the convenience of the family.
