While I did not have an opportunity to meet Charlie, I feel like I got to know him through conversations with Nancy. My heartfelt sympathies to all of Charlie's family and friends. May knowing that he is at peace now and enjoying his eternal rest give you comfort.

I miss you. I will never forget you. Thank you for teaching me everything, from changing my bike tire to remodeling a house. You came every time I called.I can remeber hide and go seek, boxing in the back bedroom, and playing Rambo. Easter hunts in the house and just being there as I grew up. I could write for days, but I will keep the rest as memories between you and I. I wish I could have said a better good bye, but I am glad for or time out on the boat just you and me, and the car rides just to drive around. I love you. You will be missed by many. Your son Bill

Uncle Charlie - You are a wonderful man. I have many fond memories of you playing with me at Christmas in grandma and grandpa's living room, enjoying the toys as much as, if not more than, I did. I remember your love for animals. It was as if you had the ability to speak to them in a way that no one else I have ever met has been able to do. I remember your visits at mom and dad’s house. We would sit and talk for hours. As much as I’d love for you to be here with us, I know that you are with mom, grandma and grandpa catching up and enjoying being together again. Thank you for all of the memories that I will cherish always… Love Abby

Charlie was one of many great neighbors I had or have. He was kind and loving to all the critters in our yards, and helpful to all the neighbors, especially me. I have extreme gratitude for all the help he gave me with my ailing mom, and building and unbuilding projects, fun evenings by the outside fireplace and many hours of political conversations. Maybe not always thankful for them.
He marched to a different drum, but had a BIG heart.
I'll miss him greatly.

You were always such a fun Uncle with all of your magic tricks you showed us, and I still have that wooden box with the marble in it...the marble is still in there! You had such a big heart, and I remember going to Mardi Gras, where you always had an eye on us girls at all times making sure we were okay. And I will never forget you coming to the house and tying all those sticks together and placing them throughout the yard after the Blair Witch Project came out...I even believe we watched it THAT night! lol BOY did you scare the crap out of my friends and I! hahaha Good times! You will be missed Uncle Charlie, and always remembered! xoxo

I will always remember the magic and card tricks you always used to show me as I grew up. The way you would try and help me talk my parents into a mini bike. Then came the time you threw me the keys to you honda motorcycle. Never been on a bike before, yet you let me ride it twice around the block alone at 14yrs old. You will be missed charlie.
