Obituary of Timothy John Rizzo

AS OF 10:44 SERVICES HAVE NOT BEEN CANCELLED Rizzo, Timothy J. Canandaigua: Timothy J. Rizzo died March 7, 2014, at his home in Canandaigua following a long battle with leukemia. He was predeceased by his father Frank J. Rizzo. Tim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rhonda (Penlon) Rizzo; mother, Vivienne Rizzo; brother and wife, Frank and Brenda Rizzo and their sons, Justin and Jared. He is also survived by his aunts, Mary (Sheraba) Rizzo and Katherine Archer and numerous other extended family members and friends. Tim grew up in Irondequoit and graduated from Eastridge High School and from MCC with a degree in Electronic Technology. He retired from the U. S. Coast Guard after serving 6 years active duty and then 15 years in the reserves, which included active duty in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. He retired 3 years ago to a log home in Canandaigua after a long career at Kodak designing robotic equipment, from ITT testing satellite equipment and finally at Harris Corp. repairing military radios. Friends may call Tuesday evening 6-9 and Wednesday afternoon 1-2 followed by a celebration of Tim's life at 2 at Lucey-VanVoorhis Funeral Home, 301 West Main Street, Victor.
