Remembering the days at the studio in the station and the times in the Monopole. We cherish the fine wood carvings that we have in our collections. It was a pleasure painting your portrait and showing our art together.

On behalf of the VA Medical Center, we extend our sympathy. George volunteered over 900 hours the past year working with Veterans in the Wood Shop. He was extremely talented; a true mentor and friend to Veterans that crossed his path. He will be missed.

George and I met when he began his volunteer days at the Canandaigua VA. We quickly became friends, laughing and voicing our political beliefs to each other - which were not unlike.
George did such phenomenal wood art pieces and he never ceased to amaze many of us. He adorned the main garden at the VA with his enchanted decorations made with his talented mind and hands. But the thing that I will always remember about our dear friend, is his caring, loving treatment he gave to each and every veteran that crossed his path. He taught them so much in the woodshop and they will forever miss and remember George.
Bless you, his family, and may all your memories of George, keep your heartaches light.
