Obituary of Lyman E. Straight Jr.

Straight, Lyman Erwin Jr. Victor: Passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at age 84, at Crest Manor. Lyman is predeceased by his daughter, Karen. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Pearl English Straight, his son, Steve and wife Trish, his son Rich and wife Debbie, and grandchildren David, Sarah, and Jonathan. Lyman loved his family and his church. Lyman sang in the church choir for over 40 years, served as a deacon and an elder, and completed numerous renovation projects for the church. He was a charter member of the Victor Volunteer Ambulance Corp and donated his time to construct the Corp building. He was a Master of the Victor Grange and the Ontario County Pomona Grange. He was a member of the Victor Lions Club. Lyman served in the United States Army in Germany during the Korean War. Lyman worked as a general contractor and built over 40 houses in the area. A celebration of Lyman's life will begin on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the First Presbyterian Church, Victor.
