If you were fortunate to have met Julie during your life, you would know that she was the most kind, loving, friendly, considerate and wonderful person that you would have ever met. Julie graduated from Fillmore CSD in 1982. She went on to study at Nazareth College in the Music Therapy Program earning her Bachelor's Degree in 1986. She became a full time Music Therapist in 1987 embarking on a career working with children with disabilities at Monroe I BOCES and Greece CSD until her retirement in 2013. Julie truly loved her profession and the people she worked with.
Music was such a big part of her life not only as a Music Therapist but also as a performer. Proficient with the guitar and piano, Julie possessed an angelic voice that captured every ones attention often. She truly enjoyed performing for people, whether in her band or solo on a stage. Mostly, though, she enjoyed performing early on in her life with her siblings as well as singing a simple song for her father. Ultimately, her children were her life and the impact she has made on their growth and development will be everlasting.
