Obituary of Madeline R. Ottalagana

Ottalagana, Madeline (Meme) Fairport: Madeline Ottalagana (Meme) age 100, died peacefully on February 9, 2015 at the Fairport Baptist Home. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph and son, Robert. She is survived by her son, Richard (Jean) Ottalagana; daughter, Nancy (Michael) Magee, 4 grandchildren, Lynne (Robert) Schmitt, Anne (Robert) Ralyea, Scott (Patricia) Magee, Robert (Carol) Magee and 4 wonderful great grandchildren. After the death of her husband, Meme worked for the Rochester City School district. Upon retirement, she volunteered at Strong Hospital delivering flowers, and working in the gift shop. She was also tour guide at Sonnenberg Gardens for many years. Meme loved bridge, gardening. bowling, knitting, and playing her piano. She was a huge Yankees fan . Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, especially at her cottage on Keuka Lake. In addition to her family, she leaves many good friends who will miss her smile and positive outlook on life. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday afternoon, February 20, 2015 at 3 o'clock in the chapel at the Fairport Baptist Home, 4646 Nine Mile Point Road, Fairport, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be directed to the Fairport Baptist Home.
