Linda,
I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Gary all that well but whenever I saw him he always had a smile and a greeting. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Uncle Gary you will always be in my heart. Most of my fondest memories as a child were of the times we all spent together as a family. To have had you as my Uncle is to have been truly blessed. God Speed and Rest in Peace.

Linda and family,
Our thoughts and prayers will be with you. Gary is going to be missed so much by everyone that knew him. We will always have wonderful fond memories of dinner at the diner, camping and all the fun-poking Gary did about things. He was such a wonderful, kind person that never had much bad to say. His smile would win you over. We know he will be watching over all the family and guiding them in his absence. Till we meet again friend, God Bless you.

Gary and Linda Smith were my favorite customers at Park Place. They have really always been more than customers, I jokingly called them my aunt and uncle. Gary was a friendly, personable man who worked hard and loved his family, i am very saddened by his passing. I will miss picking on him and his laughter and smile. My most sincere condolences to Linda and all of his children and family.

Dear Linda, Lisa, Gary and Dan,
Words cannot express how heavy my heart is for you all. I was fortunate enough to know Gary from the time I was just a young girl who moved into the Merrill Street neighborhood. When Lisa and I became friends, I always felt welcomed by Gary with his big smile and few words. To me, he personified the saying “speak softly, but carry a big stickâ€. It was rare that I ever saw or heard him angry and fortunately for Lisa it was usually one of her brothers that were on the receiving end of that rare flash of anger. He was the embodiment of the true family man and it is difficult for me to imagine your family without him there. But in that spirit of family, I believe he has gone on ahead, and is helping God prepare your place for the day when each of you will join him in heaven. And when you get there, the lawn will be perfectly mowed. ïŠ May you find comfort and peace in the knowledge that he is no longer hurting, and one day you will all be reunited again.
My deepest condolences to you all and your whole extended family.
With love,
Joy

Dad,
When i met you 25 yrs ago, i was soo nervous to meet the "family" but you made me feel right at home like had always been there. With your picking and jokes, and i knew everything was going to be good. We picked at each other for 25yrs right from day one and you never missed a beat. I will never forget any of that or you. you are a wonderful father, and a wonderful Papa. You spoiled your grandaughters and we all loved every minute of it. In all of the 25 yrs i never once heard you raise your voice at anyone. you are amazing and will always be loved and missed and never forgotten. I will always smell that Captain Black scent that came from your pipe. I loved that scent. I am at peace knowing that you are not suffereing anymore, u hated being down, and know you are up in heaven looking down at all of us. Please guide us through this tough time and the ones that are head of all of us. I will miss your trips down to florida to see us. God Bless you and I LOVE YOU!!!
