Obituary of Margaret S. Ward

Ward, Margaret S. Farmington: Passed away quietly after battling cancer on Friday, September 19, 2014 at age 80. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas F. Ward February 28, 2014. Born in Sackets Harbor, NY to the late Richard Harris Swain and Hilda Muriel Parker. She retired from Pratt and Whitney. She is predeceased by a brother and several sisters. She leaves behind her son, Thomas K. Ward; daughter, Patricia (Gordon) McCarty; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Margaret will also be greatly missed by her close family, The Newton's including: niece, Gail (Gerald) Newton Sr.; great nieces and nephews, Gerald (Jenn) Newton Jr., Chris (Kelly) Newton, Brad (Amy) Newton, Wendy Newton; great great nieces and nephews, Brianna, Dominique, Ben, Julia, Emily, Kara, Brayden; sister, Barbara Litz; brothers, Gary (Katherine) Swain, Dennis (Nancy) Swain. Friends may call Saturday 11-1 at Lucey-VanVoorhis Funeral Home, 301 West Main Street, Victor. A celebration of Margaret's life will follow the calling at 1 o'clock. Interment of Margaret and Thomas, Maplewood Cemetery. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, guests should donate in Margaret's honor to a charity of their choosing.
