I'm am very sorry for your loss. I knew Paul through the world of our annual conference for supermarket site location research. I enjoyed seeing and talking about supermarkets and real estate every year with him. But beyond shoptalk, Paul was always beyond kind and gracious. I knew Paul since the 1990s and he was always a gracious and kind man. I enjoyed spending time with him at conferences and appreciated his passion for his work and his dedication to his company. It was incredible how he braved his illness, plugging away when you knew he felt terrible yet somehow he didn't stop him from doing what needed to be done. Though our relationship was through our work, I truly liked him as a person. Paul was a "class-act" and will be missed by many.

Dear Debbie and Girls: our hearts go out to you at this difficult time. Losing a husband and father may seem unbearable at this time. But please remember you all went above and beyond for his care for many years . The Gilbert family is very special and Paul was proud of you all.
