So sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. What a great guy, friend and community leader.
I went down to pay my respect. Glad to see that at 8pm his friends were still arriving and lined out to the hallway waiting to share their moment with the family. I just said hello to a few and then good-bye to Charlie. He will be missed.

My thoughts about Mr. Rose could be echoed by hundreds of other grateful students that were guided by this wonderful man.
Mr Rose personnally took me to meet with Gleason Works people because of my interests. When I changed my mind and decided on college, he was the one who suggested the community college in Auburn, NY. I had a wonderful start there, went on for my BA, MS;and a 35 year career as a history teacher and department leader. I owe so much to Mr Rose's guidance. I only wish that I had sought him out in later years to thank him in person. My thoughts are with his family.

To Charlie's family: My sympathy to you for whom Charlie was brother, dad, grandfather, great-grandpa!
Many years ago when I met Charlie at Penfield HS, he was the kindest, wittiest, warmest gentleman one could hope to meet. What a wonderful experience to see him some 50 years later at Penfield retiree gatherings and find those qualities still intact.
You were fortunate to have him in your lives all these years. May your faith and your memories comfort you at this time.

You will be so missed here on earth, but heaven now has one more angel. God Bless the Rose Family and accept our deep sorrow for you loss. Our Love, Art and Karen
