Paul Joseph McCarthy

Suddenly on September 22, 2018 at 64 years of age; stalwart husband, father, brother, cousin, grandfather and friend to many, especially those in need. Known for crafting unimaginable golf shots designed to achieve glorious victories from certain defeats. He is survived by his wife, Annie; daughters, Katie (Joe) Ryan, Kelly (Conall Morgan) McCarthy, Aileen (Chris) Powers; grandchildren, Quinn, Maeve and Ruadhan.

He is predeceased by his mother, Esther Mary Burke McCarthy Whelehan; father, Thomas R. McCarthy, & step-father William T. Whelehan.

Also survived by his uncle, Robert “Max” McCarthy; siblings, Michael (Becky) McCarthy, Patrick (Margaret) McCarthy, Mary (John) Blair, Burke (Janet Crawford) McCarthy, Rick (Judy) Whelehan, Susan (Francis) Corrigan, David (Ann) Whelehan, Peter Whelehan, Gregory (Barb) Whelehan, and Betsy Whelehan along with a significant number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd. So.) on WEDNESDAY (9/26/18) from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. Paul’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Jerome Church (207 Garfield St. / East Rochester) on THURSDAY (9/27/18) at 9:30 AM. Interment private.
