I share your sorrow with Dick’s passing, I have lost one of my heroes. Dick taught me how to be an official and specifically how to be a football Umpire. More than 40 years later I can still hear Dick’s words and visualize his actions on the football field that got me started and have stayed with me all these years. Thank you for having let me borrow your husband and father as my teacher. He will live on in the minds and actions of the many officials he befriended. Michael McGowan, Huntersville, NC
