Obituary of Charles K. Turk
Charles K. Turk passed away on October 9, 2018. He was born on August 15, 1935 to Christian and Anna Türk in Hungary.
Charles retired in 1998 after 30 years of full-time service in the English Department of McQuaid Jesuit High School, where he served as Chairman for 11 years. Mr. Turk received his B.A. as a triple major in English, Philosophy and History in 1969 from Canisius College, and served on the Princeton board of readers for Advanced Placement exams for more than 2 decades. He enjoyed retirement teaching part-time, conducting seminars for high school teachers in the preparation of students for the A.P. English Exam, and growing flowers and vegetables in his hand-turned beds.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ruth; their children: Frank (Tara), John, Chris; his grandchildren: Amanda, Caleb and Grace; and many loving members of his extended family in Hungary.
Friends and family are invited to call between the hours of 3 & 6 PM on SUNDAY, Oct. 14th at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd. S).
