Obituary of Theodore J. Mooney, Jr.

October 30, 2018 at age 86. Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lucille; his children, Sandra Zukoski (David), Lynne Ville, Gwenn Sarazyn, Kevin Mooney (Lorna), Michael Mooney (Cynthia); 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, cousins and nieces and nephews.
He resided in Rochester NY his entire life and was predeceased by his parents, Theodore J. Mooney and Catherine T. (Waddell) Mooney; siblings Kathleen and Thomas; son in-law, Marc Ville.
He was a graduate of Aquinas Institute and Holy Cross College. Active in his parish his entire life, his Catholic faith was the guiding force in his life. Ted taught religion for 33 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. His passions were football (where he received the nickname Tank) and playing cards, especially bridge. Ted was very devoted to his family. We can all hear him happily saying, “We’re all together!” As a veteran in the Korean War, Ted served from 1954-56. Ted retired 29 years ago from being a pharmaceutical salesman in which he won many awards due to his charismatic personality. Ted and Lucille enjoyed retirement wintering in Florida for 20 years. Ted will be greatly missed.

A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM on TUESDAY at St. Marianne Cope Parish at Guardian Angels Church, 2061 E. Henrietta Rd. Interment Ascension Garden Cemetery.
