It is with love that the family of James W. Cripps announces his passing on Saturday, November 17, 2018 after a brief battle with pneumonia. Jim was 83 years old. He is preceded in death by his lovely sister Nora, fun loving brother Victor, and parents Leonard and Winifred Cripps. Jim leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his wife of 60 years, Eddy and their children Doug (Carol), Robert (Christine), Andrew (Kerry), Peggy (John), grandchildren Brian (Emily), Amber, Thomas, Alexis, sisters Peggy, Hilda, Jenny, brothers Bernard (Jane) Roy (Solly) and many adoring nieces and nephews in the USA and England.
Jim will be forever remembered as a gentleman who wore a smile. He was cheerful, funny, and always made time for others. Jim was quick to offer a beer or make a joke, he was a good listener and always ready to play, sing, or help someone in need. Jim lived a wonderful life surrounded by family, he was golfing with his sons and walking his dog just days before he became suddenly ill. He will be terribly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
A period of calling hours will be held SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2018 from 12-2 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd S). At 2 PM a celebration of James' life will be held in the Interfaith Chapel of the funeral home. Interment, private.
