Jimmy was loved by many. He a had heart of a man who has known love & loss, he lost both his wife & daughter within a short period of time. A sorrow which rocked his world.
Jimmy was known for his gentle spirit, a friend of the heart. He had a softness & genuine strength that made him a loyal and loving friend. He loved music which was in his soul, playing a melody that could quite a room, encouraging those around to join in as he strummed a familiar song. Christmas was a special time for both Jimmy & Gail, loving the decorations, the lights, & the spirit of Christmas which is why his passing at this time of the year is particularly poignant.
Jimmy was a husband, a father, a brother, a lover, & a friend. When he met Gail, his world changed; he’d found a true love that brought joy into his life. Jimmy loved Gail with all his heart & I could see they were a blessing to each other. The words of a favorite song portrays that love….
“Life used to be so hard, now everything is ease cause of you.”
Their love would stand the test of time. Jimmy’s death has left us all reeling, trying to understand, process & accept this loss. Facing our days without this man we have come to love & cherish will challenge all of us.
We all miss you Jimmy, watch over us… shine your light on us and bless us with your love…
Since Jimmy was fond of Native Americans, I would like to share a Native American poem which may reflect his message to us:
I am watching over you
from the stars.
Don’t be scared,
I know exactly where you are.
Because there’s a piece of me and it’s burning in your heart
Even death could never tear us apart.
