Obituary of Eugene L. Schuyler

Passed away December 19, 2018 at age 89. Predeceased by his parents, Russell and Norma; brother, Dudley (Beverly). Survived by his children, Paul (Patty) and Donna; brother, Ben (Gertrude).

Gene grew up on the family farm on Jefferson Road in Pittsford. He served in the United States Army from 1950-1952. He started his firefighting career in Penfield. He joined the Pittsford Fire department in 1965 and was active for more than 25 years at which time he joined the exempt and continued his association with the fire department as an exempt until his death. Gene retired from Kodak as an electrician. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church Street, since he was a boy and went to Sunday school there. Gene was a snowbird going down to Largo, Florida in the winters where he enjoyed driving his golf cart, playing cards, and bingo.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 27, from 11 AM - 1 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Road South). A service will follow at 1 PM in the Interfaith Chapel in the funeral home. Interment private. A reception will be held immediately following the funeral service at Pittsford Fire Department - Station 2 (465 Mendon Rd Pittsford).
