It was my pleasure to know Betsy and to work with her during her years at St. John Fisher College. She was warm and wise and an asset to both the students and her colleagues. She is gone too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with John and her family. She will be missed.

Please know I will offer a Mass for Betsy. And a donation has been sent into the hospitality shelter.
I am so glad everyone had the opportunity for final words at Thanksgiving.
Regretfully, because of parish duties, I can not travel out to NY.
Everyone will be remembered in my prayers and Masses.

Knowing Betsy, listening to her accounts of life abroad, and sharing views about post-colonial literature in our book club, was a great pleasure. Her joyful spirit enlivened every encounter, and I loved her. It is heartbreaking to hear that she has died so young. My condolences to John and her family.

I am so sorry for your loss. It was my privilege to get to know Betsy as a colleague at SJFC and also in a book club for several years. The insight and stories she would share especially when we read books set in the countries she had lived was my favorite part of the book club. Her compassion and love for others, and her deep spirituality, were an inspiration to me.

I had the pleasure of meeting Betsy n John through Bible Studies at St. Anne’s Church.
I always admired her strength and her love for Gods Word!
Through her battle she continue to serve the Lord with grace and compassion for all.
I’m so honored to have met her beautiful soul and pray the she will have Eternal Peace., Her time with us all left a legacy of a woman who loved her life with conviction. Betsy never let her illness define her. She carries her cross with dignity til the end.

I'm so sorry this beautiful soul is gone from us. Betsy was so unique and special. She had such a wealth of experiences and wisdom, but I never knew her to be arrogant or boastful. I admired how strongly she held and lived out her convictions borne of her faith. I also so appreciated the gentleness with which I saw her treat everyone. I'm sure Betsy is praying for us now. I also pray for the repose of her soul, and for peace and healing grace for John, the rest of the family, and all who loved her.
