Obituary of Christina Haase

Christina “Tina” Haase, age 49, of Fairport, New York, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2018, after a brief illness. She was born September 24, 1969, in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and came to the Rochester area after marrying Eric Haase on December 5, 1993.

Upon moving to the U.S., she was a nanny to 3 young children while studying for her real estate license in New York. She then helped many people buy and sell homes for nearly 23 years. Tina enjoyed her work, food, traveling, the beach, and above all, her family.

Christina is survived by her husband Eric, daughters Anna and Sophia, who were the joys of her life, brothers Michael (Joan) Witt and Trevor (Karen) Witt, father- and mother-in-law Jeffrey and Judith Haase, sister-in-law Andrea (Mark) Stier, brother-in-law David (Emily) Haase, 12 nieces and nephews, and 5 great nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved deeply and had a great impact on their lives.

Christina was predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Lorna Witt, and her brother Anthony Witt.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, January 5, 2018, for visitation with the family from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., and a church service following at 3 p.m. at the New Apostolic Church, 750 Marshall Road, Rochester, NY 14624. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Apostolic Church Youth Fund, in memory of Christina Haase.
