Obituary of Lois A. Dakin
Passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2019 at age 90. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years, Ward Dakin; siblings, Dr. Stillman B. Clark, III, Dorothy C. Henley. She is survived by her children, Ralph “Ed” (Diane) Dakin, Bonnie (Peter) Siciliano, Wendy Dakin Pohlman, Nancy (Scott) Hamp, Holly (Reggie) Dakin-Parker; grandchildren, Corissa Tripp, Curtis Young, Jacob Siciliano, Peter Siciliano, Leah Siciliano, Elizabeth Hamp, Lauren Hamp, Nathan Hamp, Jillian Parker, Corinne Parker; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Fred B. (JoAnn) Clark; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Lois reached out to others in a very caring way. She was a devout Christian, faithfully serving at Brighton Presbyterian Church, the Healing Rooms of Greater Rochester and Adonai Community Fellowship, among other ministries. Lois will be remembered for her devotion to family and her faith.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 12th at 2PM with a reception to follow at the Brighton Presbyterian Church, (1775 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14610). Interment will be held privately in Concord, NH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brighton Presbyterian Church or Healing Rooms of Greater Rochester (1775 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14610) in her memory.
