Obituary of Elizabeth A. Halsted
Elizabeth Ann Halsted “Sis” passed peacefully at home on January 15, 2019 at age 72 after a long battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents George and Lucille Spillman, her brother Bernard Spillman and cousin Eileen O'Neill. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Richard "Rick" and her loving daughters Marilou (David) Schultz , Melissa (David) Dukes , Marcia (Kevin) Roesser ; her grandchildren Elijah, Helen, Adele, Davey, Sadie Elizabeth, Joseph, Evan, and Vivian; her sister Mariann (Robert) Mindler and children Jason (Carla), Andrew (Lindsay), and Sarah; her sisters-in-law Donna Spillman (and sons Chris (Karen) and Greg), Laura Gibson (daughters Lisa and Sonal, sons Andy and Paul), Mary Jane (Joe) Bunzol (and sons Jared and Ivan), Margaret (John) Grassi (and children Cristina and Philip). Other living relatives include cousins Margaret (Paul) Bringewatt, James (Donna) Spillman, James (Roe) Ricciuto, Daniel (Amy) O’Neill, Martin (Veronica) Spillman, Jean Anne Llewellyn, John (Barbara) Spillman, Sandra Pardy, Pam Welch, Bonnie (Dick) Kier, Sharon (Bill) Hunt and many nieces and nephews.
Sis was a long time member and employee of St. Marianne Cope and Guardian Angels Parishes. She was deeply committed to parish activities, caring and wanting to share her love of the Lord with the community.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 23rd, 4-7pm at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 24th at 10 am at Saint Marianne Cope Parish at Guardian Angels Church, 2061 E. Henrietta Rd, Rochester, NY.
