Obituary of Kayne E. Couchman
Kayne Couchman "Citizen Kayne"
Rochester: Kayne passed away February 15th, 2019 at age 54. He is survived by his two daughters, Kyra and Deanna (grandson Rowdy), brother Eric and sister Autumn, aunt and uncles, nephews and many friends.
During his years in the United States Army, Kayne found his love of cooking and the means by which he would express his affection throughout the rest of his life. Many local restaurants and country clubs benefitted from his experience and creativity.
If something was broken, Kayne could fix it. Home, cars, trucks, favorite toys of the daughters and nephews who were awed by his super powers; there was nothing he wasn’t willing to tackle. When a loved one wanted a farm table for their dining room, he built one. A personalized Adirondack chair to sit by the river? Kayne built one. His woodworking and craftsman skills were self-taught, honed over the years, and cherished by all who knew him.
Anyone who knew Kayne knew hunting thrilled and sustained him through most of his life. He found sanctuary in the peace and quiet of the woods. Kayne reveled in nature and forged a special bond with his hunting grounds, becoming familiar with each individual deer and woodland creature. Trees were not just trees – they were unique and beloved elements of his home away from home. Those trees earned nicknames over the years – the Nine Point, the Spiderman, the 3-acres and more.
Kayne had many passions and a big heart and will be missed by all.
