My heart broke when I heard about Laura's illness and passing. I was lucky to work with her for ten years at CNB until my retirement. What a warm and caring person she was. She deserved to live for many, many more years than she was granted.

Let's start at the corner: Ron, Jamie, Bob, David, Rusty, Albert, Michael, John, Lyle. All those boys! Then just you, me and sometimes Dorothy. We could hold our own with all of them. From morning until the streetlights went on we were there playing every sport. How about riding our bikes down the hill and straight through the stop sign! When Albert went flying over the hood of a car we thought, maybe that's not a good idea after all.
And the neighbors whose children were already grown that were always getting after us... Pat, Emily, Rosie-although she did give us those delicious "S" cookies. We always made Grandma Alfieri nervous. She was so worried we'd get hurt. Then there was my grandfather who was always getting after the boys for being too rough with us.
Childhood memories. So many experiences that molded us into the people we are today.
Laurie~ you are gone too soon. You took on every challenge in life with that no-nonsense gusto that was so much a part of your personality. I am so lucky to have shared so many years with you on W. Spruce St. Those you are leaving behind have lost such an extraordinary figure in their life. The memories created over the years will bring smiles to our faces but also an ache in our hearts. Fly free my friend. Until we meet again and ride our bikes among the clouds.
Love you my friend.

I’m sending my sincere condolences to the King/ DiGuiseppe family and friends. This is one of life’s greatest challenges that we have to face. The Bible offers much comfort for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. John 5:28-29 shows us how there will be a resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in death. Revelation 21:4 speaks of a time when death will be no more. If you would like to learn more details about this, please visit Jw.org for the answer to many of life’s questions.

To the family,
I express my deepest condolences for the loss of your love one. In the Bible, God expresses death as a "sting." (1 Corinthians 15:55,56) So this means that behind death, there is a painful hurt. He also knows what it is like to experience losing a love one as "he did not spare his own son but handed him over for us all." (Romans 8:32) But soon God will do something amazing. "All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." (John 5:28,29) God will use his Son to bring back all our dead loved ones to life! What a joy that will be! There, God "will wipe out every tear from (our) eyes and death will be no more neither mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore."(Revelation 21:4) So yes, although experiencing the temporary sting of death, we will have the prospect of joy living on a paradise earth free of death forever! A wonderful website with more information on this subject is www.jw.org. This is where more Bible truths await us all. Please visit the website in hopes to add more comfort to your hearts. (2 Corinthians 1:3)
Again, sorry for your loss.

You were the best part of Canandaigua National - not just as my personal advisor, but someone who became a good friend. Every time I look at my CNB blanket, I think of you, and when Corinne told me about your tatoo, we both laughed and said "that's SO Laura!". People battling cancer don't always like being told how 'brave' they are; you brought a new meaning to that, fearless and fighting it until the end. When we spent time together last Friday, you told me that you were trying to stick around long enough to celebrate your 60th in October, and I was convinced you could. Always worried about everyone else, and we will all miss you so much. Grateful that I had the opportunity to visit you, and glad that you were your usual self that day - tired but still able to joke with me, and, of all things, worried about getting your taxes done. No more pain for you, just a lot of tears and some laughter when your friends and family share the stories. Wondering if you've run into your ex yet, hope you get the chance to smack him like you promised! If you do, send us a sign.
