Jim was my dear friend. He was a family, a teacher and like a father to me.. He was a caring professor , a hard worker, a scientist , a mentor , a good human being . He loved his flowers, his plants, he loved a good meal and his expensive wine . He loved his house on Tobin road with his beautiful peonies on the side . He was a sweet soul that walked peaceful on this earth. I will miss him forever . Jim thank you for your friendship..

I knew Jim through The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science - NY. We met at our annual state meetings and seminar. Jim was always approachable, polite, a source of information, an interesting speaker, and fun to be with. I will miss him as will our society members.
Please accept my sympathy on your family's loss.

Jim was a kind and generous person. We had a close and lasting friendship that covered almost 40 years. He was inquisitive, interesting to talk to and always busy learning. Jim was rightly proud of his gardens, and loved food & wine. Even though I moved away from Rochester, we talked for hours on the phone and he sent me gifts which I treasure. When I think of Jim I think of him surrounded by friends. He was a true friend. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. I worked with him at Mercy Hospital years ago. He was a brilliant chemist. I also remember him playing the trumpet at Christmas at the hospital. My condolences to his family and relatives at this sad time.

Jim was one of my professors at RIT and more recently we were colleagues. A nicer guy couldn’t be found. He will be missed.
