Obituary of Barbara Lee Barenblatt

Ms. Barbara L. Barenblatt went to sleep in death on Friday, March 29, 2019. She was 92 years young.

Most recently, Barbara lived in Atlanta, GA. Previously, she lived in Rochester, NY where she called home for 18 years.

She had two careers in New York City. As a trained singer, pianist, and actress she performed on Broadway and did photo modeling on the side. Later, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Music Education and became a music teacher at an elementary school. Afterwards, she worked in various office positions and became an administrator at New York University for 18 years until she retired.

Barbara is survived by her children, April Zigman, Suzi Tomasulo, Daniel Barenblatt and Anna Greenfield; 2 grandchildren, Marisa Schoenberg and Abigail Lerner; 4 great-grandchildren, Ila, Sophia, Reese and Meredith. She is also fondly remembered by her nephews, extended families and countless friends.

Barbara has been lain to rest at the White Haven Memorial Park in Fairport, NY.
