Obituary of Diane B. Faville

Henrietta, NYDiane Faville, 72, passed away on Thursday April 11, 2019 to join her husband Bob (dec. Nov. 2006) in heaven.  She was loved by many and just getting comfortable in her new home at Pinehurst Senior Community in Honeoye Falls, NY after being a Henrietta resident for nearly 50 years.  Services for Diane will be held as follows:  Calling Hours for Friends and Family on Sunday May 19th from 2pm to 5pm at Miller Funeral Home at 3325 Winton Rd South (corner of Jefferson).  A Memorial Service will begin at Miller on Monday May 20th at 10am with a procession to White Haven Memorial Park (Section SM) in Pittsford, NY following.  A private ceremony for family will be held prior to these May dates.

Diane was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Robert Faville, from Leroy, NY. She was the oldest of 3 children of Robert and Dorothy Wentworth of Greece, NY and graduated from Greece Olympia High School in 1964.   She is survived by her sister, Sandra (Van Allen) Spring of Chili, NY and her brother, Dennis (Linda) Wentworth of Fairport, NY; her 2 sons Michael (Joyce) Faville of Avon, NY and Adam Faville of Canandaigua, NY; her 4 grandchildren Alden, Amy, Jacob, and Alicia; and her dog, Sophie. She was also survived by her niece Jennifer (Tim) Colbert; and nephews Tim Carter, Jason (Stacy) Wentworth and Dan (Amanda) Faville.

She was a dedicated leader and mother to her family, be it her relatives, her friends, or her work. Growing up in Greece, NY, she met Bob on a blind date and was married in September 1968.  They moved to Henrietta to raise their family. Diane was a stay-at-home mom for much of the 1970s and watched / babysat a lot of local kids in their home while Bob worked at Eastman Kodak Printing Division.  They were members at Limerock Speedway / Tri-County Racing Club in Caledonia, where Bob and the boys raced and held offices in the club, and Diane ran the concessions stand tirelessly.  As the boys got older, Diane sold plants in household parties for Deco Plants, worked as an office manager for Executive Office Products, and then as an office manager and executive assistant for 25+ years with the Terry family at Monroe Tree, Lewis Tree, and Terry Tree Services.  She retired about 2012 from Terry Tree.

Diane was able to travel with Bob, family and friends to many places and loved to spend time with them. She ventured around North America on planes, trains, and boats and saw sights from glaciers in Alaska, to the deserts of southwest USA, the islands of Caribbean and also got to visit across the Atlantic with a trip to Ireland. She enjoyed visiting friends in Georgia and Florida and sharing in a glass of wine or “back medicine”.

Her grandchildren made her especially proud and she supported them fully in attending their school events, sports, and medical trips. The kids travelled with Grandma to Walt Disney World, Yosemite Park, Kings Canyon Park, San Francisco, and a Faville-family heritage trip to Dolgeville, NY and Lake George.  Three of her 4 grandchildren have graduated high school and are attending university today with her help.
