Obituary of William Michael Flynn

Passed away on April 16, 2019 at age 60, surrounded by his family.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents, James Patrick and Patricia Ann Flynn.  He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Catherine; daughter, Erin (Dave) Nardozzi; son, Robert, granddaughter, Danielle Nardozzi; sisters Mary (Ted) Giudici, Colleen (Barry) Zimmer, and Barb (Bob) Gierolewicz; brothers John, Tim (Katie), Mike (Pam Ross), and Pete; many nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Bill was a national award-winning writer, nationally broadcast and award-winning radio features writer/reporter, talk show host, videographer, sports historian, sportswriter, and web site designer. Bill conducted thousands of interviews, and developed, wrote and produced over 1,350 general topic and sports features during his career.  He was the recipient of four Edward R. Murrow Awards, eleven New York State Associated Press Awards, the New York State Broadcaster's Association Award, and the national award for writing from American Horse Publications.  He was inducted into Rochester's Frontier Field Walk of Fame and the Rush-Henrietta High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bill’s life on Saturday, April 20, at Back to My Place Bar & Grill (3024 East Henrietta Road) at 4:00 PM.
