Obituary of Jack M. Hultz
Pittsford: May 12, 2019 at age 93. Survived by his wife, Mary Jo of 65 years, children, Robert (Joan) of Knoxville, TN and John (Karen) of Pittsford, NY, 2 grandchildren – Mark and Eric and 4 great grandchildren.
Jack was born in Elyria, Ohio and graduated from Elyria High School in 1943. He was a veteran of US Army Signal Corp serving in Europe from 1944 – 1946. After his service, he completed his studies and graduated with honors (Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma Engineering Honor Societies) with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University. Jack worked for Anchor Hocking Glass for a year before returning to school to pursue an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Upon graduating from Harvard, Jack had a 30-year career in various management positions with Pfaudler Company/Sybron Corporation in Elyria OH, Lancaster PA and Rochester NY. In addition to his professional career, Jack actively volunteered in numerous organizations including Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford, Junior Achievement and others in Rochester. During retirement, Jack and Mary Jo traveled extensively. A DIYer, Jack enjoyed working on the family cottage on Canandaigua Lake and sailing. He spent over fifty summers on the waters of Canandaigua Lake.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford on Saturday, May 18th at 2:00 pm. Click HERE for a map to the Church.
