Dear Stacie, Mary and Mrs McDermott, I can't fathom your pain or sadness. Your smile and laugh were infectious. My first memories of you are when we did crosswords together on night shift. I would often volunteer to do the unit transfers with you so we could talk. So smart, so kind, very loved. Forever remembered, forever to be missed.

To the entire McDermott family and Stacie's wife Mary I wish to offer my heartfelt condolences. Having gone to grammar school with Michele for 8 years I got to know the McDermott family a little bit. But I got to know Stacie a little more for just a short year or so in our high school years. She was part of a very special group of people I will never forget. She was a beautiful person then and I find out now she grew to be even better. God has taken her home. I hope you all find some comfort and peace knowing where she has gone you will see her again. I am heartbroken because you were one of my first mentors when I started working at Rochester General as a new RT grad and taught me how to not just be a competent and compassionate RT but to train others to be the same way. More importantly, you were a huge cheerleader for me finishing my Bachelors at Brockport then starting my Law School journey. Thank you for simply being you every single day...
