Obituary of Donald W. Ross
Donald W. Ross passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on June 3rd, 2019. – A longtime Brighton family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline E. Ross; his parents Helen W. and Donald H. Ross; and brother, Stephen W. Ross.
Don is survived by his children: Scott (Anne) Ross, Julie (Terrance) Sullivan, Billy Halloran, Donna (Sam) Delong, and Kenny (Cathy) Halloran; grandchildren, Matthew, Stephen (Amanda), and Michelle (Kori), TJ and Taylor, Jake and Zach, Adam (Ashley) and Tessa (Jeremy) Borba; great-grandchildren; sister, Susanne (David) Aurand; sister-in-law, Brenda Ross.
He started his career at a very young age working for his grandfather’s hardware store, Wilson’s Hardware. He was an Operating engineer and then the Head Supervisor for Higgins Erector and Haulers, building bridges. Eventually he purchased and ran Action Auto Parts with his Brother, Steve. He retired early and moved to Florida.
He was Supervising Lieutenant of the Egypt Volunteer Fire Department.
Friends and family are invited to call between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00pm on Friday, June 7th, with a Funeral Service held at 2:30pm on Saturday, June 8th, all held at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 3325 Winton Road South. Interment private.
