Obituary of Wolfgang Josef Kunisch

Wolfgang “Joe” Josef Kunisch passed away in his home on June 15, 2019 at age 80.

He is survived by and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Norma, together for 35 years; children, Christine (John) Page, and Eric (Chris Barrett) Kunisch; five grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother Karl (Louise) Kunisch of TN. Preceded by his brother, Peter Kunisch of FL.

Joe started PolyPro, a plastics engineering company with his brother, Karl. His ingenuity and creativity made him highly respected and well known in that profession. He then turned his avocation into his second business and opened Bloomfield Orchids. He was a member of the Genesee Region Orchid Society and spoke on orchid topics across the US, Canada, and in the UK.  

He was an avid golfer and former member of Brook-Lea Country Club. He loved to go out dancing with Norma and travel the world with their friends.

Friends and family are invited to call between the hours of 5 & 7 PM on WEDNESDAY, June 19, 2019, at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc (3325 Winton Rd S). Memorial Mass will be 10AM on THURSDAY, June 20, 2019, at St. Catherine of Siena (26 Mendon Ionia RD) followed by Military Honors at Ascension Garden Cemetery. Donations may be made in Joe’s name to Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester.
